Plot and Premise
The movie is based on the harrowing true story of the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California, which remains the deadliest wildfire in the state's history. The narrative focuses on Kevin McKay , a school bus driver, and Mary Ludwig , a dedicated school teacher
As the wildfire rapidly consumes the town, McKay and Ludwig are tasked with evacuating a busload of 22 elementary school children. The film depicts their white-knuckle journey through apocalyptic conditions—navigating narrow, gridlocked roads surrounded by flames, dense smoke, and panic—to get the children to safety.
